My family and I have been attending FBC since November 2022.
There are so many things I love about serving with the other FBC elders. First, it is an honor to give of our time to represent the mind of Christ for the glory of God and the good of His people. Second, I’m grateful God has called us to oversee the way in which our church teaches and shepherds with the gospel. I also am thankful that we serve as a plurality of elders–not just one or two, but together as a unified group.
As Lead Pastor I oversee & lead in the preaching and teaching of the gospel at FBC, oversee the staff and leadership development, provide pastoral vision for worship services, collaborate with the other elders about church vision, and care for pastoral ministries (weddings, funerals, baptism, the Lord’s Supper, biblical counsel, visitation, etc.).
I enjoy quiet days with my wife, walks, reading, watching football, bowling, and cutting firewood.
